After selling 95,000 units of the Kindle Fire in 24 hours after the product launch, sources say that Amazon continues to have good results with their first tablet.
Sources of All Things Digital blog, linked to The Wall Street Journal, said that Amazon is selling 25 000 units of product per day in the U.S.. The product is still in pre-sale and will be delivered to consumers in November 21.
The figure confirms the data previously reported by the consulting eDataSource who claimed that Amazon sold about 20 000 Kindle Fires a day after the first day of release. If confirmed data, Amazon may have sold between 235 thousand and 245 thousandtablets so far.
Despite the large number of tablets sold, the number is still well below the record of iPad2, the second version of the Apple tablet. The company sold nearly 1 million units of the product, which is more expensive than the Kindle Fire in the first weekend after release. For comparison, Research in Motion (RIM), maker of the BlackBerry, it took an entire quarter to sell 200,000 units tablet Playbook.
