Facts About Amish Heaters

Amish heaters have been promoted excessively in Newspaper ads, TV infomercials, etc. In this article, we'll take a look at what exactly these Amish Heaters are.

The excessive promotion of these heaters started with advertisements promoting that Amish had invented a miracle heater saying goodbye to heating bills. The advertisement gained a lot of attention and resulted in positve impact that lead to sales but at the same time there arose doubt regarding the legitimacy of the products, as the consumers wondered if the claims of the manufacturers were right. Are these really great electric space heaters or just not worth it?

What Amish Heaters are, and What They're Not

These heaters are electric fireless flame heaters which have appearance of a real fireplace with flickering flames. These are good for use since these are portable and do not create mess and the smell that can usually be a negative factor with traditional fireplaces. In actual the electric element that is the heater itself is not made by the Amish. It is manufactured overseas that is usually in China as per decided by the manufacture.

The heaters are represented as Amish made. The cabinet that the heater is placed in, is what's made by Amish. It is a real wooden handmade mantle. Still, many customers have raised their doubt on the mantles if those are made by Amish in actual. However the product reviews show that the customers have mixed opinions. Some claim that these are beautifully hand-crafted while others claim that these are poorly assembled.

From the viewpoint of cutting heating bills, these heaters cut bills only if you need to heat one or two rooms at a time and can get by without having to use your primary heat source in the rest of your building. It can also be a money saving product in true sense for those who don't live in very cold climates and as per their need they need only one area of their house heated at a time. Similarly if more of the building needs to be heated then a heater would have to be placed in every room which can be expensive. These heaters are mostly on rollers so that these can be plugged in one room and then unplugged for the use in other room.

Thus these heaters are very beautiful and would be a nice addition to any home as per the budget. However there exist many such space heaters which provide the same amount of heat for much lesser price.

In marketplace, there are a wide range of Amish fireplace-style heaters which are available in different sizes, prices and styles. The claim to reduce heating bills holds true if these heaters are used for one or two rooms and not for the entire building, as mentioned already - so don't be fooled! Before purchasing an Amish fireplace heater, do a thorough research and read the reviews about the manufacturer to exactly know about your purchase and considering the various options that are available.
